Imaginad un pueblo costero, con casitas bajas, los pescadores volviendo a casa con las redes llenas, mariscadoras recorriendo la playa, una iglesia al borde del mar… este es el escenario escogido por los siguientes novios para darse el sí, quiero.
Laura y Manuel, una pareja dulce donde las haya, amantes de la ciudad que les vio crecer, conocerse y enamorarse: Vigo.
A la hora de diseñar sus invitaciones de boda hemos intentado transmitir la atmósfera de serenidad que desprenden estas dos grandes personas. Querían una invitación clásica y atemporal, pero con un toque desenfadado. Su único requisito: que plasmásemos Vigo en una ilustración a mano. Decidimos que ese dibujo debería contener la esencia de la ciudad, por eso optamos por una representación de época del barrio de Bouzas, que es la iglesia donde se van a casar. En el trasfondo de la imagen se perfilan las islas Cíes, joya de la ría de Vigo.
El resto, una cuidada elección de la tipografía y un cuerpo sencillo y elegante. El papel, tanto del sobre como de la invitación, es de algodón natural, y es una delicia para el tacto.
Este es el resultado.
Teníamos muchas ganas de enseñar este trabajo, que hemos hecho con todo el cariño del mundo, para una pareja junto a la que hemos crecido en tantos sentidos y a la que nos une una relación muy especial.

A wedding by the sea
Picture a village by the sea with small, lovely houses: the fishermen return home with their nets loaded with fish; the shelffish gatherers wandering on the beach; a church standing by the seashore. This is the scene chosen by the couple to say their «I do»s.
Laura and Manuel are a sweet couple, completely in love with each other, celebrating in the city that nurtured them through birth, childhood and teenage years. This is the city where they met and fell in love: Vigo.
When the time came to design their wedding invitiations, we tried to portray the personality and nature of these soon-to-be-weds. They wanted a classic and timeless invitiation, but with a casual, relaxed touch. Their only requirement was for us to capture the city in a hand-drawn sketch.
We worked with them and decided that to capture the essence of the city, we should represent the bay; the old, inspiring postcards of the area; and, obviously, the church where they will get married. Of course any picture of this Vigo would not be complete without the ever-present Cies Islands in the background. We couldn’t ask for a better frame for this city.
The rest of the invitation is rather simple, but carefully selected; a stylish font, slender and elegant, and a cursiva, but with a twist.
The paper, both in the envelope and the invitiation itself, is made of natural cotton and is incredibly soft to the touch.
This invitation is the result!
We were really eager to show this work, made from the heart for a couple that we grew up with, Laura and Manuel. And we hope to follow them as they grow grey together.

Llego el momento de hacer nuestras invitaciones de boda y sabíamos que nadie mejor que Iris para diseñar algo tan importante como la carta de presentación de nuestra boda! Desde el primer momento capto a la perfección la idea que teníamos en mente y no podemos estar mas contentos con el resultado!! Sin duda repetiríamos!!!
